Definition of common testing protocol
Common protocol covering all aspects of cell, SRU and stack testing, including the methodology for characterisation of cell performance and degradation has been created in conjunction with all testing partners. With the completion of the test protocol, it is the aim of the project to disseminate it publicly such that it may be used by institutes outside of RelHy. In this manner, it is hoped that the RelHy protocol is adopted as a common protocol (or becomes the basis of) for SOEC testing, at least within the EU.

In order to meet the above mentioned test protocol, each partner’s test bench have been modified to ensure contiguity and comparability between test data collected. Special attention has been given to the requirements for the gas flow, humidification, power supply, oxygen partial pressure and load systems as well as oven dimensions that are needed to ensure that the test protocols can be executed.
