4000 h 5-cells stacks with ESC LSCF based anode

A stack developed by the company Topsoe Fuel Cell was tested in electrolysis. The stack contained electrolyte supported cells from ECN with LSM based oxygen electrode. The inlet gas composition was 90 vol. % steam/ 10 vol. % H2 and a steam-to-hydrogen conversion rate of 39%. The stack was operated during 4000 hours under a current density of -0.4 A/cm2. Voltage degradation was about 4.6 % per 1000 h operation.
